Beloved Students:
I greet you this month in the preciousness of your becoming. As you seek to move more deeply into the Divine, know that you are fully supported by the spiritual plane. Know also that the real work of transformation is the most beautiful of earthly creations. May you have every blessing as you enter your full wisdom and compassion potential.
Our focus for this month regards the powerful force of love. Who can doubt that it is the most powerful force in all Creation? Who can say that s/he has never known the powerful shifts that love can accomplish in one’s life? Who can say that s/he has not been influenced at special moments in life by the morphogenetic field of love? Who is there among countless living sentient beings who has not felt the incredible healing potential of the force of love? Indeed…none!
Probably, all of you reading this lesson have realized that there is no force in all of Creation as powerful as that of love. If such is true of love, what must be true of Love? Indeed, all have sought love, perhaps without knowing that the real search was for Love. All transformation is encoded within, and fostered by, Love. All healing is seeded in, and supported by, Love. Nothing that moves in the direction of wholeness can reach fruition except for the grace of Love.
If Love is the basis for being – and I hope you have concluded by now that it is – then indeed: the only force or factor that is of any real consequence to you is Love. Indeed, everything else utterly pales in Its face – everything! Essence is a product of Love. Goodness is a product of Love. Kindness is a product of Love. Indeed, you are a product of Love. Not only are you Love’s child, you are Love!
Some kind of love allowed for your physical body, the host of your consciousness, to take form. Some kind of love allowed you to mature, physically and spiritually. Some kind of love opened you to a path of transformation. Where would you be without the power of love in your life? Where would you be without the abundance of Love in your spiritual path? Indeed, you are nothing without Love! Where would you be apart from the field of Love, which not only goes before you but follows after you and wraps itself around you, ultimately penetrating your areas of resistance; opening you to the recognition of profound possibility.
In truth, it is only when you love that you are able to say those hard words, “I’m sorry.” It is only when you love that you can truly wish for another’s highest good. It is only when you love that you will dare to witness the buddha-potential of another. It is only through Love that you experience grace in your own life, or that of others. If you are blind to the force of Love, you are blind to so much of life’s wonderful, intelligent, creative operation. Indeed, who would want to miss all the incredible applications of Love at work in this Universe? To miss Love is to miss the experience of the Divine.
Clearly, one simply cannot say enough on the topic of Love – Love’s continual operation in the world at large, Its continual applied power of regeneration, as well as Its singularly uncompromising support in spiritual transformation. Indeed, what is there in all of Creation but Love? Love brought you forth, Love supports your highest development and healing, Love walks gently by your side; Love is who you are; Love is where you are going, and It is That which will stand as High Witness for your ultimate transformation into Glory.
In truth, you simply cannot be without the healing, wholing power of Love. It is, of course, tremendously important that you acknowledge this profound force on your path of becoming; for without Its presence, you simply could not grow to assimilate your divine potential. Indeed, you could neither deepen into your True Self, nor discover your own innate buddhahood. If God is Love, then by definition, you, too, must be Love.
It is very important to notice that it is the force of love that allows one to be open enough to the pain of another to say, “I’m sorry.” Indeed, you are living in a time when there is much for which to say, “I’m sorry.” One of the most profound ways of dissolving the boundary of duality is to simply move into a spiritual space of holding the “I’m sorry” for the planet. While some might see this as some great failing, or an ingenuous idea (i.e., to say “I’m sorry,” for things one does not perceive s/he has done), the truth is that such is a direct road to buddhahood.
There are many reasons for this, but perhaps the most important is that it literally removes power from the ego – that portion of the mind that stands between one and one’s own buddhahood. Further, it places one in a field of softness, the perpetual residence of a bodhisattva or a buddha. When one remains located within the hardness of ego mentality, it is impossible to know (or understand) the softness of a buddha. Even if buddhahood is the desired goal of the Essence Self, the hardness of the ego self, as it exerts power to resist transformation, can thwart the entire process. Is it really so surprising that the softness of a buddha is trained by saying “I’m sorry”?
While this process may seem counterintuitive to some, those who have reached spiritual maturity will understand that there is, conversely, both nothing and everything for which to feel perpetually remorseful. This is one of the profound paradoxes that baffles the uninitiated while making complete sense to the evolved. How you see this paradox will allow you to glimpse your own relative level of spiritual development.
One of the most difficult things for many Westerners to accomplish is the surrender of apology. Most Westerners believe that apologizing has something to do with who is in the wrong. Yet, if one clearly understands karma, one can readily see that how things may appear to either party has nothing to do with how things really are. And if one can clearly see the illusory nature of appearances, then one has the divine opportunity to apologize for everything – even if what appears to be to another does not align with what appears to be for oneself.
Please join me this month in listening to the lecture I gave in Denver on September 10th entitled The Love Force. In hearing this teaching, may you be inspired to open fully to the divine force of Love. May you share the wholeness you experience with all sentient beings.
Your loving Teacher,
Djwhal Khul
