Beloved Students:
I greet you this month in the essence of the profound, and we, together, stand as high witnesses for the journey of this planet, as well as for your participation in and with Her journey. May each of you hold within your precious heart the wonder of such times, and may you be blessed with grace and fortitude for the coming times. May you see clearly your part within the whole, and may you stretch to meet the challenges and opportunities that now come your way.
It is our privilege to focus once again on the prospects of your enlightenment. This month, however, we will view enlightenment as a source for planetary healing, and as a viable means of establishing global prosperity. If this seems like an unusual approach, stay tuned! Hopefully, you will discover new ways to look at old (or at least familiar) concepts.
As our collective focus turns toward planetary healing the last 1/3 of this month, I urge you to dedicate all your efforts to beloved Earth, in order that She reach physical liberation from the many compromises humanity has wrought in Her physical condition during the past fifty years. While this time period has been filled with what may be termed “successes” for humanity, the planet has paid a heavy price for these so-called “modern advances.”
Earth’s physical body has been pillaged and plundered as humanity has sought out her hidden mineral treasures. Often, her body has been left wounded and scarred by the mining and drilling operations She has sustained as humanity sought to relieve Her of Her precious natural resources. These same operations have contaminated water reserves both above and beneath Her surface, and have left certain plots of land untillable and devastated. But even further, the precious and once fertile land of Earth has been poisoned with chemicals and toxic agents as wastes from giant manufacturing industries, and even some farming practices. Clearly, a more enlightened and compassionate relationship with Earth is in order.
The deforestation that continues around the world strongly contributes to the shifts in climate conditions, as well as the dramatic weather patterns that these shifts bring about. As these climatic changes continue to play out in the conventional reality, parts of Earth’s physical body will indeed bear the price for fifty years of neglectful treatment from the very ones who have most benefited from the retrieval of Her precious treasures.
When the final tally is in, these past fifty years may be seen by generations to come as a most costly era to earthly life forms, not just the human conclave. We must note that the Earth, Herself, is now invoking the full enlightenment potential for humanity to be manifest, partly for Her own salvation. Thus, it must be the prayer and continual focus of all serious spiritual aspirants that Her invocation be answered. This will occur, of course, as each of you commits fully to your individual enlightenment, and that of the planet, and then diligently applies yourself to the marvelous task at hand.
But further, realizing enlightenment at a personal level underscores the tremendous wealth that has been provided for, and encoded in, all beings living and relating on Earth today. As the collective force for enlightenment builds, poverty consciousness must be dissolved, for these two perspectives are mutually exclusive. Simply stated, they cannot co-exist in a dimensional reality demarcated by time and space. As you can readily witness, each persons creates his/her experiential reality from one of these perspectives or the other. As enlightenment dawns, the sense of “not enough” fades, and as one opens fully to the vast and expansive possibilities for mind today, it becomes completely obvious that there is now, and there always has been, enough.
Now I realize this may seem a strange point to assert when you can look about the face of the Earth and see entire populations that are starving, or dying of AIDS, dysentery or some other condition that reflects tremendous impoverishment. Indeed, these devastating situations are (or should be) humbling to all who witness them, for while they appear to be happening to cultures separate from your own, in truth, each suffering piece of humanity is but a piece of your greater Self. Indeed, part of the reason these conditions exist is so that you (who have so much by world standards) can empower yourselves to change the conditions. While it is true that many of these degrading situations have arisen, and continue to persist, due to corruption at various levels with governing/controlling forces, it is also true that they could be completely ameliorated in as little as two years, given a strong and forceful collective intent to solve the problems.
What could be more needed by those who suffer so from the absence of basic necessities than the raising of an enlightened class of world citizens? By this I mean world citizens who have the vision to see that the creation of an energetic field of compassion is much more important that the creation of corporate domination through money and power. This is not to say that working for world enlightenment precludes one’s having money. This is not an “either/or” situation, dear friends – nor has it ever been, even though many have seen it so. The fact is, the quicker you realize your own power in creating the life you desire, the sooner you will be able to effect a difference in the world. The sooner you create a world freed from these shackles, the sooner bodhichitta may be fully established on this planet as the rule, not the exception.
Surely, it is now becoming clear to all of you that your efforts to realize your own enlightenment are beneficial to so many more than to yourself only. Earth, and all beings that dwell upon Her precious body and in Her precious consciousness, are crying out for healing and prosperity. Because you have had the privilege of encountering deep spiritual teachings that point the way to enlightenment, you also have a responsibility to lead the enlightenment charge, so to speak, for all beings, even the collective being of Earth, Herself. Do not miss this profound opportunity.
In another vein, what better way to practice supreme bodhichitta than to realize your enlightenment? While you may not have thought in these terms previously, it is now time to do so. Recognize that you have an opportunity to love as you have never previously loved, to heal as you have never previously healed, and to sanctify as you have never previously sanctified. Now is the time to open yourselves fully, to be fully present in all the arising situations, and fully awake in all your relational interactions.
How differently might you engage in your personal experiences if you really believed you were the vehicle for the healing transformation upon which Earth depends at this time? You might realize that there have been great teachers before you, that avatars have graced the planet in previous times, but that your being here at this time has some profound meaning for Earth – if you choose to make it so. If you could truly see yourself as being the instrument through which the Divine expands Its presence here on Earth, how might you think, speak and behave differently from how you think, speak and behave in your less aware states? In fact, the only way you can participate in those foggy or sleepy trances is precisely because you do not see yourself in your greatest light – because you do not take seriously that you have come to bring forth a new conventional reality for Earth.
Please join our September focus by receiving the wisdom teaching, How’s Your Plan for Enlightenment Working? As you listen to this recorded lecture, it is important to realize yourselves as being whole. This means giving up the limiting force field that surrounds you which has resulted from your old karmic patterns. Spend time this month visualizing yourself as healed from all the old wounds you have carried and believed in, and see yourself as an emissary of prosperity (perhaps a philanthropist) to the world at large. Leave off obsessing on all the “what’s wrong with my life” matters you may have held and set forth each day on a new path of discovery and enlightenment. Dedicate your spiritual work to the benefit of all sentient beings, and celebrate the great healing and prosperity you will bring to Earth!
