Beloved Students:
Once again I greet you in the dynamic flow of 2010! Are you sensing the change in energy that has occurred? For many of you, it is like the proverbial “breath of fresh air.” May you carry this freshness throughout the entire year, and may all your endeavors reveal your True Nature.
I have noticed that a fair number of you actually carried your year-end “life review” into 2010. I see this as a truly valuable expression of your desire to transcend the patterns and habits that have previously held you back. All too often, it is tempting to simply ignore those patterns and habits, perhaps hoping they will magically disappear. Of course, such is simply not how the matter works. Even if you give them a cursory glance, perhaps acknowledging that they have caused you pain in the past, that glancing at them will not remove them nor heal the hurt places within you from having carried them.
Now, as you begin a new decade, a deeper review has arisen for many of you. I am delighted to witness this progress. It means that fewer of you are hiding in denial about the influence of karma in your life, and that bodes well not only for yourself, but for the planet, as well. As more of you learn not to fear the old repeating patterns in your lives, and to free yourselves from the tyranny of self-imposed guilt and shame, something goes free within the planetary process.
As you will see from the lecture this month (Purifying the Spiritual Link), I, too, am currently evaluating my work on Earth, particularly my work through Kathlyn. Since we are nearing the 30-year mark, the same length of my work through Alice Bailey, I thought it would be a good idea to dedicate our efforts this month to the memory of Alice’s contributions to planetary enlightenment. I hope you will join me in holding precious the work that has resulted through the efforts of all my channels, and I further encourage you to make February a month of great appreciation ~ for all those who have appeared in your life to make a difference in who you are today.
Since February is considered the “month of the heart” in the West, why not allow yourself to use every day of the month to send appreciation to at least one person? Perhaps you send an e-mail or a card; perhaps you thank some people in person; perhaps you phone others to let them know of the appreciation you feel for their having been in your life is some significant way. For those of you who might be thanking some who have departed the physical realm, do so with as much presence and attentiveness as you give to those still in physical incarnation.
Let’s make February, 2010 a year so filled with gratitude and sincere appreciation that the entire world is kinder and more compassionate as a result. May each of you have the privilege of knowing you are loved and appreciated this month. May that special knowledge lead you into greater levels of love and appreciation for others in your life, and may you reach out to them with true sincerity and joy.
As I am sure all of you know, my work would literally be impossible were it not for the fact that some truly lovely people have offered up significant portions of their lives to allow my teachings to be offered through them. While it seems only logical that I am tremendously appreciative for their commitment to my work and the offering of their precious time, it is probably appropriate that each of you experience appreciation for their offerings, as well.
While such may seem unique to my “profession,” in truth, the same is true for each of you, as well, although you may not experience it in such a direct manner. Even though your support comes from the Universe, you cannot receive that support except through other people. Indeed, as they purchase the goods or services you offer, the Universe can pour out Its blessings to you. In fact, all beings depend upon one another to experience this support.
Thus, it is always appropriate to give thanks for the other people in your life ~ particularly for those who seem to give you those “growth opportunities.” As I appreciate those who have made my work on Earth possible, may you also experience deep appreciation for those who support you (or allow the Universe to support you). In so doing, you will awaken to the powerful benefit of something called the “law of reciprocity,” and the entire world will, in fact, become a kinder place.
I would also offer that there is great power in doing a life review in terms of gratitude and appreciation for all through whom the Universe moves to support you. Look back over the years, and look for those who provided some form of support for you.
Clearly, support has visited you via many sources, including family members, teachers, role models, employers, customers, spiritual comrades, even serendipitous encounters with strangers. You might consider where (or who) you might be today without the support and kindness these people showed you. (I probably should mention here that it is good to remember that perhaps those who showed you the greatest kindness were those who “punched your buttons,” as the phrase goes. Try to see virtually every contribution as one of grace.
In truth, you are the sum total of all the people and experiences with whom or which you have had the privilege to interact. I am the sum total of all my teachers and all my students, as well as those great Essence Beings with whom I serve on behalf of the spiritual governance of Earth. Even though you know me through a single focus, I am much more, just as you are much more than the person you experience yourself to be within the confine of your current life.
Indeed, there is so much for which to be thankful. While my reiteration of this matter may not come as a “news flash” for 2010, still, there seems to be a perpetual need among sentient beings to be re-minded. May each of you take the personal responsibility in 2010 to remind yourselves and all about whom you care to generate a field of pro-found appreciation for goodness, kindness, and for the blessings of life itself.
May you be grateful for all who serve as transmission vehicles for the love and support you receive from the Universe. May you come to rest within the Great Heart, ever perceiving the presence of the One.
I now offer my deep appreciation for the dedication and loving service shown me by my channels, for their commitment to my work, and their precious love for the planet. I am deeply grateful, also, for all those who have served as receptive containers for that work, and for those who have studied my teachings. May a thousand blessings grace the path of each, and may Earth be blessed with happiness, peace, well-being and great love as a result of the shared effort of that work.
